Strategiic communication of public policies: The case of Milostivé léto

Public policy communication is a discipline that has not yet been explored much, and this thesis has chosen to examine it through the example of the government's Milostivé léto debt relief. This was a response to the long-lasting untenable economic crisis of a part of Czech society caused by the amount of accumulated distraints affecting the quality of life of the population. At the same time, the social and economic situation of citizens are the strongest determinants of their relationship to democracy, which makes the strategic communication of a legislative aimed at removing these economic obstacles all the more important. This thesis takes an approach to communication based on government communication, stakeholder theory and theory of public policy according to Potůček, and builds on these theoretical concepts with three research questions focusing on stakeholders, communication strategy and communication recommendations. It answers each of these questions using a separate method - first exploring the online space through stakeholder mapping, then defining strategy through semi-structured interviews with government communication representatives, and finally analysing the data to formulate communication recommendations through SWOT analysis. Application of CSR activities in a selected company

The aim of this diploma thesis is to define the basic areas of corporate social responsibility from a theoretical point of view. The subsequent goal of the thesis is to evaluate the state of social responsibility in the selected company and application of individual principles in business practice. Part of the evaluation is the conduct of individual interviews to supplement the previously identified theoretical knowledge, in order to answer the comprehensive perception of social responsibility in the company and the impact of CSR activities on the strategies of the selected company.
Valorization of CSR activities of Plzeňský Prazdroj Ltd.

The bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of CSR activities of the company Plzeňský Prazdroj. The thesis defines the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility, as well as its segments. Furthermore, it covers the critique of CSR. It further focuses on defining stakeholders and therir segments. Subsequently the thesis focuses on CSR in controversial industries, as well as on the overal public perception of CSR. In the thesis there are also stated curret activities of Plzeňský Prazdroj, which include responsible consumation and communication of alcohol beverages, community support, responsible development and CSR within the HR. These activites of Prazdroj are subsequently evaluated based on the suggestions stated in theory. Such recommendations include usage of less salient activites, avoiding strategic dilema, transparent communication and integration of CSR into management strategies. Prazdroj does not meet the first three ciriteria completely, the fourth criterion is, however met entirely. To validate these suggestions a social experiment was arranged. Government Communication in the Czech Republic: Organisation, Perception, and New Theoretical Model

This dissertation thesis titled 'Government Communication in the Czech Republic: Or- ganisation, Perception, and New Theoretical Model' is a seminal, exploratory work which contextualizes and maps the development of government communication in the Czech Republic from its foundation to the present time with a primary research emphasis on the years between 2015 and 2017. Stemming from interdisciplinary theoretical sources within media and communication, public policy, and management scholarship, the thesis rede- fines the way of thinking about government communication. It applies stakeholder theory paradigm by researching government institutions, private sector, and news media as three important actors of government communication. Analysing the organization, perception, and tensions of government communication, the dissertation thesis aims to introduce new theoretical model of government communication and provide the government, private sector, and other societal actors with challenging perspectives on their practices and status quo.
Problems of Mexican economy in the context of CSR behaviour of multinational companies

The aim of the thesis to seek relationship between socially responsible behaviour of Mexico's multinationals and the problems the country faces. The theoretical part first characterizes the theory of stakeholders, then approaches the concept of corporate social responsibility and ultimately advances to present Mexico itself including its issues. The practical part is based upon the analisis of selected multinationals born in Mexico which are instrumental to help answer the principal question, namely: whether the selected firms by acting responsibly do so by addressing the challenges of Mexican economy.
